Cardozo joins injury list - 17 January 2012

Benfica's official website announced that striker Óscar Cardozo has joined Argentines Garay and Pablo Aimar in the injury list.

The Paraguayan suffered a slight knock to his right ankle during training and will be doubtful for weekend's Liga game against Gil Vicente alongside midfielder Aimar (leg muscle strain) and defender Garay (right foot). All three were subject to conditional training.

Cardozo currently leads the Liga Zon Sagres goalscoring charts with 11 goals to his name.

Enzo Pérez
Argentine midfielder Enzo Pérez has returned to training in Seixal informed Sport Lisboa e Benfica.

The €5.5m summer signing from Estudiantes is currently under disciplinary process following his refusal to return to Portugal after Christmas holidays, instead hoping for a move back to his former club. Enzo suffered an injury on right knee in July and has been sidelined ever since.

The player has been re-assigned to his specific recovery programme and will soon be available for training without limitations.
