Benfica striker Cardozo has been banned for 2 games following a straight red card issued during half-time against Braga over the weekend.
The League's Disciplinary Committee (Comissão Disciplinar da Liga Portuguesa de Futebol Profissional) decided the Paraguayan's fate today after the striker was involved in brawl during half-time with opponent defender André Leone in the Braga tunnel.
Óscar Cardozo will be unavailable for the next two games which includes hosting Naval and V. Guimarães at home for the Liga Sagres and Portuguese Cup respectively. More importantly, the striker will be able to feature in the Lisbon derby against Sporting.
