Fábio Coentrão made his first appearance for the Selecção (Portugal) when he was substituted in for Nani in the second-half against Bosnia at the Estádio da Luz in the 1-0 victory.
The young winger impressed Portugal manager Carlos Queiroz with performances for Benfica this season and decided to include him in the World Cup play-off squad.
"I am very happy for my debut in the main side at the age of 21. It's great for me, but I am a little bit disappointed that things didn't go that well in the end for us."
"I hope that we can qualify for the World Cup. If I will play or not, that is up to the manager."
Argentina
Di María and Pablo Aimar were once again called by Argentina manager Diego Maradona, who also hinted at a possible opportunity for striker Saviola before the tournament this coming summer.
Argentina lost 2-1 in a friendly to Spain in Madrid where Di María played the full 90 minutes.
Uruguay

The side managed by Oscar Tabarez will played the crucial 2ng leg at home in Montevideu where anything other than defeat will guarantee them a place in South Africa next year.
Angola
Benfica striker Mantorras was in the starting line-up agianst Congo and played the first 45 minutes before being substituted at the half.
The game served as preparation for the African Cup of Nations in 2010.
Algeria
Defensive midfielder Yebda, who is currently with English Premiership side Portsmouth on loan, was an unused sub in the 2-0 defeat against Egypt.
With this result, both teams finished the World Cup qualifier (Africa zone) Group C level on 13 points, with the exact goals scored and suffered.
Given this, Algeria will play a one-off game with Egypt on 18th November in Sudan, the country chosen to host this fiercely contested rivalry between both nations.
