New products launched at Benfica Megastore - 09 December 2009

Benfica have released a new line of merchandise which features shirts, scarves and hats of all players.

Javi García, Nuno Gomes and David Luiz were present at the official Megastore inside the Sport Lisboa e Benfica stadium precint, where they promoted the new merchandise and gave their signatures to fans.

Each player has a personalized piece of the merchandise, meaning fans are able to buy a Pablo Aimar shirt, a Quim cap and Saviola scarf.

Nuno Gomes mentioned to Benfica TV the immense force the supporters give to the team.

"It's a sign that they recognize our work and appreciate us as players and our team. They are always present, in good and bad times."

Javi García complemented the new range by stating the collection "is beautiful and original".

"For us the important thing is they come to the stadium, but the more red there is the better."

    Estádio da Luz construction
    Inaugurated in 2003, Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica was built mainly during 2002/03 to replace the famous Estádio da Luz for the 2004 European Championships. With the finals in mind, the 5-star rated venue was designed for the greatest games and events, continuing the tradition of the biggest stadium in Portugal.
