Urreta loaned to Peñarol - 12 January 2010

Benfica have confirmed youngster Jonathan Urreta will be loaned out to Uruguyan side Peñarol until the end of season.

The winger will be hoping to play regular football in Montevideu in a bid to dream for a World Cup place in South Africa. Diego Aguirre will be his new manager for whom he played under in the u-20 Uruguayan national team.

Peñarol have not been given an option to buy the player permanently when the contract ends, so Urreta is expected to integrate Jorge Jesus' squad in the Summer.

The club currently lie 5th in the Apertura 2009 with 15 games played and 26 points.
