Benfica to play Aves in Portuguese Cup - 13 December 2012

Benfica have finally been handed Desportivo das Aves as their next opponents in the Portuguese Cup.

Desp. Aves beat Coimbrões by 2-1 to set a tie with Benfica at the Estádio da Luz on what will be Jesus' first game in 2013, precisely, on Wednesday January 2nd.

This encounter will be the last of the sixth round matches, where Académica (holders), Arouca, Belenenses, Gil Vicente, Paços de Ferreira, SC Braga and Vitória de Guimarães have all qualified to the quarter-finals.

The Portuguese Football Federation could only confirm Benfica's opponent on 13th December due to delays in the previous round.
