Bayer Leverkusen in Europa League Last 32 - 23 December 2012

Benfica have been handed German side Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League Last 32 round.

The two sides meet again after the 1994 Cup Winner's Cup encounter where the «encarnados» triumphed 5-5 on away goals after a scintillating 4-4 in Germany. The goalscorers that night for the eagles were Abel Xavier, João Pinto and Kulkov (2).

Should Benfica qualify, they would face either Dinamo Kiev (UKR) or FC Girondins de Bordeaux (FRA).

The first leg of the Last 32 will be played at Leverkusen on Thursday 14th February 2013 at 18:00 GMT and the return in Lisbon is scheduled for Thursday 21st February 20:05 GMT.
