With Benfica eager to extend their seven-game unbeaten run in domestic competition, their momentum has been halted by the return of another international break. An array of Águias have been called up to represent their respective national teams, and will be hoping to return home injury-free ahead of Benfica's Taça de Portugal clash with Vitória de Setúbal on November 18th.

GREECE
Andreas Samaris has been called up by Greece coach Michael Skibbe for their World Cup qualification play-off matches against Croatia on October 9th and 12th. The 2004 European Champions, who finished second in Group H, will be hoping to make their fourth appearance at the World Cup Finals.

SERBIA
Ljubomir Fejsa was initially called up for Serbia’s international friendlies against China on November 10th and South Korea on November 14th, but was forced to pull out of the squad due to injury. Andrija Živković has also been summoned by caretaker coach Mladen Krstajic, despite being overlooked by Rui Vitória in recent matches.

SWITZERLAND
Haris Seferović has been named in Vladimir Petković’s squad for Switzerland's crucial World Cup qualifying play-off games against Northern Ireland on November 9th and 12th. The Swiss finished second in Group B after losing to Portugal in their decisive match at the Estádio da Luz.

ARGENTINA
Winger Eduardo Salvio has been called up by Argentina coach Jorge Sampaoli for La Albiceleste's upcoming international friendlies against Russia on November 10th and Nigeria on November 14th.

PERU
André Carrillo - currently on loan at Watford - has been named in the Peru squad for their double-headed World Cup play-off against New Zealand on November 11th and 15th. Los Incas finished fifth in the highly competitive CONMEBOL table, ahead of Chile, and will be optimistic of progressing to their first World Cup finals since 1982.

VENEZUELA
Thriving on loan at Turkish side Kasımpaşa, Jhon Murillo is in the Venezuela squad for their upcoming friendly against Iran on November 13th. The Venezuelans failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup, after finishing bottom of the CONMEBOL table.

MEXICO
Raúl Jiménez is part of El Tri's 26-man squad for their upcoming friendlies against Belgium on November 10th and Poland on November 13th.

CAPE VERDE
CD Aves loanee Carlos Ponck links up with Lúcio Antunes’ Cape Verde squad for their final World Cup qualifying match against Burkina Faso on November 14th. The Tubarões Azuis sit third in CAF Group D on six points, but only the group winners will be heading to Russia.

LIBYA
Libya have selected Hamdou Elhouni (on loan at GD Chaves) for their last World Cup qualifier against Tunisia on November 11th. The Libyans have already been eliminated and are currently bottom of CAF Group A on three points. Tunisia require just a point to guarantee qualification.

SLOVAKIA U23s
After featuring regularly for Benfica B in recent weeks, Martin Chrien has been included in the Slovakia under-23 side for their upcoming friendly against England on November 8th.

PORTUGAL U21s
No fewer than ten Benfica players have been called up by head coach Rui Jorge for Portugal under-21s' Euro 2019 qualifiers against Romania on November 10th and Switzerland on November 14th. The lucky ten are Rúben Dias, João Carvalho, Diogo Gonçalves, André Ferreira (on loan at Leixões), João Félix, Yuri Ribeiro (on loan at Rio Ave), Pedro Amaral, Pedro "Pêpê" Rodrigues (on loan at Estoril), Francisco "Ferro" Ferreira and Heriberto Tavares.

SERBIA U21s
Eintracht Frankfurt loanee Luka Jović is part of the Serbian under-21 squad for their Euro 2019 qualifiers against Austria on November 10th and Armenia on the 14th. Ivan Šaponjić, currently on loan at Zulte Waregem, has been overlooked.

PORTUGAL U20s
Head coach José Guilherme has selected Alex Pinto, Fábio Duarte, Gedson Fernandes, João "Jota" Filipe and José "Zé" Gomes for his side’s friendly match against Poland on November 9th.

ENGLAND U20s
Fresh from scoring his first goal for Benfica B against Penafiel on Sunday, Chris Willock links up with Keith Downing’s England under-20 side for the Young Lions’ upcoming Elite League match against Germany on November 14th.

PORTUGAL U19s
Six Benfica youngsters have been included in Hélio Sousa’s squad for the friendly match against Spain on November 14th. After appearing for Portugal under-20s against Poland, Gedson Fernandes, João "Jota" Filipe and José "Zé" Gomes will join their under-19 teammates Fiorentino Luís, Mesaque Djú and Nuno Santos.
