Planet Benfica was founded in March 2006 by a group of England based Benfica supporters. Our aim was to make a news and information website about Benfica that would help connect supporters in the United Kingdom and English speaking countries enabling people who were not fluent in Portuguese to keep track of the club. Benfica has many followers in Canada, United States, South Africa, Australia and UK whom are left alienated by the club because there are very few English resources available. It is our hope that Planet Benfica will help to raise the name of the club in international circles.

We operate in a cost minus environment, where anything made goes straight back to the website and Planet Benfica projects.
