Following the derby stalemate. the manager was unhappy with the end result and stated the team need to take their chances more often.
"We had many opportunities to score. In the first half we had three clear cut chances, and in the second half at least a couple from Suazo and Nuno Gomes."
"After the sending off we lost control of a game which we could have won, one point isn't satisfactory."
"Cardozo hasn't played in the Liga for some time and for this game we thought it was necessary to use players with more pace."
"We are halfway through the season and there are 15 more games to play. Some you win and some you draw, but we will always look to lose the least possible amount. Benfica has only lost 1 game in all 21 played in Portuguese competitions."
